Meet the Team

  • Our Pastor

    DAVE MILLER

Dave has a long history of ministry in the Skagit Valley. He served as Youth Pastor @ Emmanuel Baptist Church in Mt Vernon, from 1993-2004 and continued to work with EBC students until last year. He also has a long history of enjoying Worship Leading and has been leading our New Hope Worship Team since arriving at New Hope in May of 2022. Dave enjoys diving into the Word with our congregation, each Sunday and impresses upon our church family the need to filter everything through scripture. Dave also worked for the Faithlife Corporation for some years and is also on the radio each week on Praise 106.5 Saturday Morning’s from 8-12noon.

Dave thoroughly enjoys time with his family (wife Lauri, son Ethan, daughter Elizabeth and son-in-law Jorge and the brand new grandbaby). When not at church Dave is usually seen hiking with dogs, mowing yards or out on the sailboat with family or friends.

Dave attended 1 year @ Cascade Bible in Bellevue; 4 Years @ The Master’s University in New Hall CA; and 3 Years ACTS Seminaries in Langley B.C.. Dave is ever an on-going student of the Word, the Church and Christian Ministry. He thoroughly enjoys his studies, but more so the joy of making the Bible come alive in a meaningful and easy to understand way each Sunday.

  • Elder - Robert Franklin

Robert and his beautiful wife Kathi came to New Hope Fellowship Church over seven years ago. As a retired high school business education teacher in California, Robert along with Kathi followed the grandkids to the coastal town of Anacortes in 2012.

As an Elder at New Hope, Robert is part of the very active Elder team. With the Lord’s guidance, and blessings New Hope continues to draw new members thru their doors.

Robert truly believes in “to serve and not to be served.”

They are truly blessed and grateful to be a part of the family of New Hope Christian Fellowship Church.

  • Elder - Bill Matson

Bill and his loving wife ViAnn are lifelong residents of Anacortes. They started attending New Hope Christian Fellowship thirteen years ago and shortly after, became members. It is both an honor and privilege to serve in leadership.
